Being a part of Schafer Hockey Group has been nothing short of fundamental for my growth as a player. Being from Arizona and born into a family with no prior experience in the hockey world, connecting with Pat was the perfect fit. Pat noticed me at a summer tournament after my u18 season. He played a necessary role in getting me to the North American Hockey League that upcoming season. After a year and half in the league, I wanted to get a change of scenery in order to further my development as a player. After a few conversations with Pat he was able to make that come true. Not only that, but since the end of my junior career, Pat has given me an opportunity to step into the coaching world with his summer program “Aces Hockey Group”.
If you are a young player it is essential for someone to have your back while navigating through junior hockey, I would recommend Pat to everyone.

Patrick helped me out a ton in navigating the higher levels of my hockey career. I came to him as an uncommitted player playing junior hockey with minimal knowledge of how to manage getting college scholarships or talk to coaches. Through Patrick, I was able to land multiple D1 scholarships, transfer to another D1 school to use my extra COVID year of NCAA eligibility, and sign my first pro contract as well!

Pat was exactly what we were looking for in an advisor.   He was an instrumental part of Nick getting his Division 1 deal.  Obviously Nick had to do his part on the ice to give Pat something to work with and Pat did his job from there.  It started by making sure Nick was in the right place, with the right coach for his junior hockey and then we trusted the process from there.   He returns phone calls and texts, which is huge because most people don’t have the common decency to do that.  Once Nick got to college, Pat still checks in and is now focused on a path after college.  I’ve recommended multiple people to Pat knowing he would take care of them. It’s been 3 years now that we’ve been with Pat and I can honestly say we’re friends.  He’s a good person and I can’t say enough about him.
